Our certified instructors include Rebecca Chandler, owner and primary instructor. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and holds a BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography as well as a ballroom and Latin dance certification in the DVIDA syllabus.  She also has background in ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop.  From 2004-2007 Rebecca served as the choreographer for the Miss University of Southern Mississippi pageant, and now serves as the choreographer/assistant coach for the Southern Misses dance team.  After beginning her ballroom training in 2005 Rebecca has competed in and taught ballroom and Latin dancing throughout Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. Rebecca has won several Top Teacher awards and has coached/partnered students who consistently place in ballroom pro/am competitions.

Our resident ballroom coach is Kelly Vuyovich, a ballroom teaching, coaching and judging veteran with 34 years of professional dance experience. Kelly is a certified teacher and adjudicator with the National Dance Council of America in American Smooth, American Rhythm, International Standard International Latin and Theatrical Styles. He holds teaching certifications in DVIDA, Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray dance syllabi. Kelly previously owned Illuminations DanceSport in Hattiesburg, which was ranked for two years as one of the top 5 studios in the US. He was also ranked as one of the top 5 teachers in the US during that time. Kelly has won numerous Top Studio and Top Teaching Awards during his career, including most recent wins in 2010. In addition to being a coach/instructor at The Grand Ballroom, Kelly is the co-owner of the Magnolia DanceSport Challenge, a pro/am ballroom competition in the Rising Star Circuit.

Kyle Tullos, instructor, is a certified professional ballroom and Latin dance instructor/choreographer, as well as a Country Western instructor and choreographer. He has been teaching for five years and is currently a senior at the University of Southern Mississippi studying dance and photography. He has won several top teacher awards and is a two time champion of the local celebrity Dancing With The Stars contest. Kyle is a native of Hattiesburg and his professional goal is to be a multi-title World Ballroom Champion and a renowned portrait photographer.
