Dancing Like the Stars - An Amateur Couple Competition

Dancing Like the Stars highlights:

• The competition will run parallel with season 14 of the popular TV series Dancing with the Stars. The series airs on Monday night and our local couples dance on Friday night
•  It is an amateur couple competition, so no professionals are allowed to dance.
• The couples dancing each week will receive judges scores from our great instructors and the audience will vote on which couple they think was the best. A combination of the two totals will be used to determine which couple has the lowest score and will not continue to dance the next week!
• Judges scores will be based on content, musicality, technique and performance.
• For the low entry fee of only $100/couple, you will receive a competitors only group class each week to teach the required content portion of the dances each week, help with music and costume selection, and floor time to practice each week. The required content will be bronze level choreography.
• Discounts on private lessons and parties will be offered to competitors.
• Two dances will be featured each week, one smooth and one rhythm. Couples will draw the first week for the type of dance they will perform. They will then alternate each subsequent week between the featured smooth and rhythm dances.
• If you don't have a partner, please fill out a entry form and mark the box marked I need help finding a partner. We'll try and match singles up to make partnerships.
